GENDER BASED VIOLENCE (GBV) AND VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN (VAC) AS CROOSSCUTTING ISSUES

KIHUMBE implements the GBV and VAC activities in all the community intervention programs to community members. The GBV/VAC services are provided to community members in order to address norms that are related to HIV infection, Increase protective factors and coordination of community GBV response and increasing GBV awareness to community members for them to reduce societal acceptance of GBV and other related risk behaviors which contributes to new HIV infections in all GBV intervention sites.

KIHUMBE use the trained CBHS providers, Peer educators and other Program staff in providing GBV services and link the GBV survivors to the respective services depending on the client’s needs.
